Omrah Pinot Noir 2007
The Kensington Wine Rooms is a lovely wine bar. I chose this Australian Pinot and was pleased with it.
Ventisquero Queulat Pinot Noir Gran Reserva 2007
I love their Cabernet and Carmenere. Had been wanting to try out the Pinot as well but ordering it was too much of a hassle. I was pleasantly surprised to find it on the wine list at The Crusting Pipe in Covent Garden. This is a lovely pinot that I enjoyed very much while listening to live opera.
Condado de Oriza Ribera Del Duero Crianza 2006
I wanted to try some Ribera del Duero and this is the one that I ordered. I do prefer the rioja taste to this one. Probably won't be buying that particular wine again but I still have some other Riberas to be opened.
Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva 2005
Had been planning to try this one out for a while and it was worth the wait. A great rioja just the way I like it. Got one more bottle of it wating at home.

Torres Viña Esmeralda 2009
I really liked this white wine from Catalunya. Would definitely try it again.
In the mountainous area of the Upper Penedès the more delicate and aromatic white grape varieties are grown. Moscatel and Gewürtztraminer form the basis for Viña Esmeralda, an exceptionally delicate and strikingly fragrant wine.

Señorio de los Llanos, Valdepeñas Reserva
Barón de Oja Rioja Crianza 2006
There is a lovely wine store / tasca in the center of Puerto de la Cruz. They have amazing food, ambience, music and wines. This is where I found my LAB D-12 Limited Edition. The owner recomended this one as well. It had won many prices and was highly rated with 92 points at some wine guides. I don't care much about stuff like that but this wine is really great.
Castillo de Albai Reserva Rioja 2005
This one was the best discovery that I made while in Tenerife. Perfect Rioja, just the way I like it. Wish I could find it in Sweden.
Viña Norte Tinto Tradicional
I spent a week in Tenerife's winemaking region. Tried out several local wines but none of them were of my taste. This one was just ok.

Charles Smith Boom Boom Syrah 2007
When we read about Charles Smith's wines in the newsletter I immediately got interested nad had to order a couple to try them on. After some reading on the various kinds I chose the syrah and the cab. I must say I had quite some expectations when opening the syrah and was quickly disappointed. It had the same weird terture and sweet taste as the Gnarly Head Zin. I could barely finish my glass. I really hope that the other one will be better. They are produced in Washington.

Viña Chocalan Gran Reserva Pinot Noir 2007
This is my birthday wine, really nice choice though I could really live without the headache on the morning after. This is the kind of pinot that I like, full bodied and dark, not watery and thin like some French ones that I recently tasted. You can really notice the chocolate and I am seriously concidering to get the Chocolate Block. Interesting enough, the name has nothing to do with chocolate. Apparently the word is indiginous and means "yellow flower".

Pico Alto Sauvignon Blanc
Recently I got into sauvignon blanc. This one was nothing special but tasted good and fresh. It acompanied some scones in Soho, London.
Brachetto D’Acqui, Cardinale Lanata, Piemonte
Apparenly this type of wine is not very popular and it has been impossible to find any photo of the bottle. I had it with scones at the Browns Brasserie in Mayfair, London. It is a frizzante wine with 6,8 % alcohol. I remember the bottle being black and stylish and that's it. The Braida winery is known for making good Brachettos. I am not sure what Cardinale Lanata is but I liked it very much. Bracheto is the grape and Acqui is the region in Piemonte where it is made. I hope to find it again somewhere.

Vicar's Choice Souvignon Blanc 2008
Coto de Imaz Reserva 2004
One of those wines with ugly labels that I have been avoiding for a while now. Tryied it at Victoria restaurant with some tapas and a few friends.
